Do you ever look around our store and see mixed media works of art and various art materials, and long to jump into this whimsical, quirky form of self-expression? Then, this is a great foundation course for you! This in-depth workshop begins with a detailed lecture on collage and mixed media, combined with a trunk show of the artist's work. You will receive a 4-page handout covering the various layering techniques used to create a mixed media work of art. Substrates, collage materials and adhesives, adding color, stamping, and a dimensional focal point, along with composition, will be discussed. In the second half of the class, you will try out many of the materials/techniques by creating Brenda's 4x6" postcard project title "Fun". This project employs collage, painting, stamping, and creating a pop-out focal point.

Supply list: Bring your basics, plus sharp scissors, Crafter's Pick the Ultimate glue, Sobo fabric glue, a Krylon gold leafing pen, and eggplant Adirondack (Ranger) Dimensional paint.
